Greater Bluffton Community Fund
The Greater Bluffton Community Fund has been created to support current and future community needs and opportunities in this rapidly growing region.
Through the establishment of the Greater Bluffton Community Fund, caring, forward-thinking community members have created what promises to be a powerful source of assistance to better the "Greater Bluffton community" for the people of today and the generations to come. Under the auspices of the fund, a permanent endowment fund to serve the community in perpetuity, and a community charitable fund to meet immediate needs have been established.
"Through the establishment of the Greater Bluffton Community Fund, we hope to address a broad range of community needs through grantmaking and special projects," said Steve Tilton, Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Fund. "The Fund provides a way for community members to get involved in supporting our very unique community."
The initial gift to seed both the Endowment Fund and the Community Charitable Fund has been committed to by the Bluffton Rotary Club with additional monies being raised by the advisory council. Grantmaking guidelines will be developed and the future grants from both the Endowment and Charitable Funds will be awarded to address a broad range of critical community needs and opportunities in Bluffton ranging from arts and culture, environmental support, education programs and initiatives, health and human services projects, and community development and improvement projects. These grants will provide a means for the nonprofit organizations doing work in these areas to fulfill their missions.
