Coastal Discovery Museum
The Coastal Discovery Museum has been a part of the Hilton Head Island community and Lowcountry since its incorporation in 1985 and in 2007 it completed its development and renovation of the historic Honey Horn property on Hilton Head Island.
Funding from the Community Foundation is being used for the installation and construction of the Educational Boardwalks along the marsh front of the property. In keeping with the mission of the Museum, the Educational Boardwalks will provide a hands-on, interactive educational experience providing information on the natural history of the Lowcountry detailing flora, fauna, geography, and marine life on the marsh, in the marsh, and under the marsh.
