Bluffton Self Help

Escalating costs for housing in southern Beaufort County continue to result in costly rents and mortgages for the population served by Bluffton Self Help. Through a grant form the Community Foundation, Bluffton Self Help's goal is to strengthen its Rental and Utility Assistance Program. In addition to issuing financial assistance, this program offers budgeting classes and additional training to promote planned budgeting among the families served. Bluffton Self Help, founded in 1987, provides short-term assistance to clients with emergency needs for medication, food, and clothing, help with rent and utility payments, and minor home repairs.
