December 22, 2009 BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC -- In its fifth year of grantmaking, Women in Philanthropy, a fund of the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry is seeking grant applications with a focus on "Helping the Hungry" from organizations that offer programs to individuals and families who reside in Beaufort County. For this grant program, applications are invited from nonprofit organizations only and grant requests must be specific to the focus theme.
The application can be accessed on the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry's website, www.cf-lowcountry.org under the "grants" tab or by emailing a request for application to csmith@cf-lowcountrty.org. Grant applications are due at the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry's offices at 4 Northridge Drive, Suite A on Hilton Head Island by 5:00 p.m. January 4, 2010.
The grantmaking mission of Women in Philanthropy is strengthening families and individuals in the areas of arts and culture, community development, education, the environment, health and human services. The grantmaking focus is selected each year by the Women in Philanthropy Grants Committee.
