Community Foundation of the Lowcountry

Building Stronger Communities

To build stronger communities, the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry works with a broad base of donors, nonprofits and volunteers throughout the Lowcountry. We disbursed $1.8 million in 2008 to more than 103 nonprofits and 112 students.

These distributions represent the objectives of our Board of Trustees and the philanthropic interests of our donors:

The Community Foundation’s grant recipients are as diverse as the communities we serve. Our broad focus and flexible approach bring opportunities for change to local communities.
