PEARLS stands for Philanthropic Empowerment Among Rural Lowcountry Sisters and was established in Hampton County in 2007 with a mission of connecting women who care with causes that matter. The grantmaking focus of PEARLS is to provide grants to nonprofit organizations that provide programs and/or services to Hampton County. The 2009 grantmaking cycle will focus on youth.
Grant Guidelines Grant Application
Women in Philanthropy is an organization established in 2003 by a dedicated group of local women with the mission of inspiring and educating women to become philanthropic leaders in the Lowcountry.
The grant making focus of Women in Philanthropy is to provide grants to nonprofit organizations which provide programs in Beaufort County. These grants are meant to strengthen families and individuals in the areas of arts and culture, community development, education, the environment, health and human services.
In this fourth grant year, Women in Philanthropy will award grants with a focus on “Enabling the Disabled” to organizations which offer programs to families who reside in Beaufort County. For this grant program, applications are invited from nonprofit organizations. Grant requests must be specific to the focus theme.
Applications are due to the Community Foundation's office at 4 Northridge Drive, Suite A, Hilton Head Island by 5:00 p.m. on January 2, 2009.
Application deadline has passed, please check back in fall 2009.
To aid nonprofit organizations providing disaster relief services, upon declaration of a disaster by appropriate government officials, the community foundation will make disaster response, recovery, and rebuilding grants. Grant Guidelines Grant Applications
The Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, through its supporting fund, the Hilton Head Island Foundation Endowment Fund awards competitive grants through its unrestricted fund only to nonprofit organizations serving individuals living and/or working in Southern Beaufort County (Hilton Head Island, Daufuskie Island, Bluffton, Okatie).
