The number of nonprofit organizations serving the Lowcountry is amazing: there are more than 250 in the four-county area, providing an incredible range of services to our communities.
A key element of the community foundation's mission is "connecting people, resources, and needs." We achieve this objective by carrying out the intent of our donors through donor-directed grants and by implementing a grantmaking strategy to address community needs with unrestricted dollars.

Women in Philanthropy - Request for Proposals 2007
Women in Philanthropy is an organization established in 2003 by a dedicated group of local women with the mission of inspiring and educating women to become philanthropic leaders in the Lowcountry.
