Community Foundation of the Lowcountry

History

The Community Foundation of the Lowcountry was founded in 1994 with the proceeds of the sale of the nonprofit Hilton Head Hospital.

Since that time, we have expanded to cover a four-county area of the Lowcountry – Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper Counties.

We have grown to more than 200 funds and have given more than $30 million back into our communities and beyond.
