Community Foundation of the Lowcountry

Phase I of Fully Integrated IT Environment

Fully Integrated IT Environment with single database structure and management reporting system to support our 3-5 year strategic plan and all services/programs. By 2010, we plan to have our accounting system, donor and prospective donor database system, services, programs and outreach programs fully integrated with all workstations within our hospices offices. We are budgeting for a duel server hard drive system, new computers, monitors, printers and accounting software system that is integrated with our donor database. Budgeted along with the cost of this integration is computer training, systems training, and monthly tech support. Phase I of the project is installing the duel hard drive server; phase II is installing the work stations; and phase III is installing the integrated accounting system.

Why this connection makes a difference:
A fully integrated IT system will allow our 28 year old organization to better manage the day-to-day business of caring for our patients and their families and to better manage the growth of our services in Northern Beaufort County. A new system will also allow us to expand the reach of our fundraising efforts, which are vital to our organizations as we remain the only hospice in Beaufort County that collects no money from our patients and their families, and we do not bill anything to insurance companies, Medicare or Medicaid. We rely 100% on donations and gifts from individuals, organizations, grants, foundations and fundraising activities.

Cost: Approximately $1,000
